The Thai Language
English is relatively widespread in Thailand, partly because of intensive tourism, although you cannot rely on the majority of the population actually speaking the language sufficiently. Therefore, it is definitely worth learning Thai if you plan to stay in Thailand permanently and make the country your new home. It will make your contact with Thai people so much easier and will also help you to really experience the culture, the people and the country.
Health Insurance
Thailand generally offers very good and high-quality medical care, but it is absolutely necessary to have private health insurance. This can be completed either before moving to Thailand, or whilst in Thailand itself. There are many different insurance companies about, so it is definitely worthwhile to compare them before making a decision.
Working in Thailand
Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is a huge metropolis and also a particularly important city within Asia, which is why countless international companies are represented there. Even if the majority of expats who move to Thailand are either already retired or earn money online, it is of course also possible to find an ordinary job.
The easiest way to do this is if a company that you had previously worked for makes you an offer to work in Thailand. If you work for an international company you will most likely continue to receive a salary based on Western standards, and sometimes even more. Seeing as the cost of living is so cheap, this should serve as a major motivation for expats to take the long journey and relocate to this beautiful country.

Cost of Living
The moderate cost of living in Thailand is most probably the biggest attraction for expats. It is slightly higher in the south than it is in the north, and as you might expect, a bit more expensive in the tourist areas. But, wherever you go in Thailand, the cost of living is much less than it is in most of Europe.
Thailand simply unites all of the requirements needed to make life easy, interesting and relaxed. You can live with significantly less money than you can in Western Europe, but without having to compromise on Western standards.
Climate
The climate in Thailand is another reason why many expats to move to the Southeast Asian country. Thailand has pleasant temperatures most of the year but can often get very hot in the spring, followed by a rainy season. However, most of the time it does not rain nearly as much as some expats expect.
There are also differences between the North and South of Thailand. The south rains more often but is more pleasant in the hot season, whereas the North can get very hot in the summer and quite cold in the cool season, especially in the morning.
