Education
In Colombia, it is generally advisable to rely on private schools and universities because the level of education is much higher than the state schools. There are also some German schools in the country, as many other German-speaking people live in Colombia.
Health Insurance
With regard to the health system, it is advisable to get private health insurance in Colombia, since the state system cannot be qualitatively compared to that in Central Europe. Also, you will not be covered for many treatments unless you have private insurance.
Working in Colombia
Those who want to move to Colombia to work should definitely focus on international companies, as they pay significantly more on average than domestic employers, and salaries often exceed those in their home countries.

Language
As is the case almost everywhere in South and Central America, Spanish is not only an advantage but a necessity, as the average English language skills in this part of the world are not very high. Spanish is spoken everywhere. Where in some other countries you can get by with just knowing English, this is not an option in Colombia, which is why it is highly recommended that people learn some Spanish before moving, even to a basic level.
Culture
The Colombian culture is typically South American and can be seen through the enormously friendly, cosmopolitan and enthusiastic people.
