Brazilian Culture
Brazil is certainly one of the more expensive countries in South America and in many areas quite comparable to many Western European countries. However, Swiss people should be reassured: Brazilian prices are definitely not comparable to those of the Alpine Republic.
In general, it can be said that: starting from the relatively cheap north, it gets more and more expensive the more south one moves. This should be considered when choosing a new home in Brazil.
By the way: When moving to Brazil you should at least be neutral towards the sport of football as it is undisputedly the national sport and firmly anchored in the culture. Likewise, Brazilians like to celebrate their world-famous Carnival, which you certainly should not miss when moving to Brazil. Admittedly, depending on where you live, you can’t escape this spectacle anyway. And why would you?
