History of Kehrli & Oeler AG in Berne
Your Moving Company Berne since 1904
In 1904 the company founders Mr Kehrli and Mr Oeler were working for a coal merchant. They recognized the growing need for transport, storage and relocation services and so took the brave decision to resign and start their own company based in Berne.
At this time there were no trucks and all of the hard work and transportation had to be done by horse and carriage. In fact at the beginning they faced one especially large problem: the enormous feed costs of the horses!
The two entrepreneurs managed not only to overcome this obstacle but had begun to diversify and grow the company in the coming decades. They did this by taking advantage of and specializing in new technologies such as the rail freight system and transport vehicles. This investment opened up new opportunities. The classic transport orders were immediately followed by dedicated relocation work. It is in this field that Kehrli & Oeler AG, is a leading name in Switzerland to this day.
Today, over 100 years later the company Kehrli+Oeler AG can look back on a long, successful and traditional vein of history and call themselves one of the oldest and most prestigious moving companies in the whole of Switzerland.
